Central Avenue, Sonoma

This cottage from 1920 has great character, but was in need of extensive renovation. The owner also wanted to expand the house, not an easy task given restrictive zoning and set-back parameters. The living room was expanded by enclosing part of the wrap around porch and a small addition in the back added space to the master bedroom. New energy efficient custom windows were fabricated to match the existing so as not to lose any of the charm of the original design.
